15–20 minutes in the air. Ideal for first-timers and anyone who wants a clean, scenic flight with the Pilatus close-up. If conditions allow, you can sometimes upgrade to the Dragon flight during the flight for a longer experience.
Fly 20–35 minutes and (when conditions cooperate) use thermals to stay up longer and enjoy the Alps from a true bird’s-eye view. A strong choice if you want “more airtime” without going all-in on the longest package.
With 35–50 minutes of airtime, this is the “maximum freedom” option: extended soaring above the city and Lake Lucerne, or even ridge routes along the Pilatus chain when conditions are right. 30 minutes are guaranteed — if the 35-minute minimum isn’t reached, the price difference to the Mountain Chough flight is refunded.
The Storm & Cloudbird is not directly bookable but serves as our exclusive alternative when flights from Pilatus are not possible.
This program guarantees an unforgettable tandem flight – even when a change of location is necessary.
Instead of cancelling the flight, we switch to alternative sites, usually in the Engelberg Valley or at Niederbauen, where conditions are often more favourable. This flexibility allows us to offer memorable experiences even when the weather at Pilatus isn’t ideal.
Storm & Cloud Crow flights can also take place later in the afternoon or evening, as some mountain railways operate longer and enable extended flying times. Flight duration ranges between 8 and 30 minutes depending on the conditions.
If a switch to the Storm & Cloud Crow option becomes necessary, our team will inform you in advance. Any price differences compared to the Pilatus flights will be fully refunded.
The Ibex Safari is an unforgettable adventure that combines a scenic ridge hike along Mount Pilatus with the thrill of paragliding – a true Alpine experience.
The adventure begins with a cable car ride up Mount Pilatus, followed—only in suitable wind conditions—by a two- to three-hour hike along the breathtaking Pilatus ridge, passing Tomlishorn and continuing to Widderfeld. This route is well known for its high chance of spotting ibex, making the hike as thrilling as the flight itself.
The hike requires surefootedness and a good level of fitness, as there are two or three exposed sections along the ridge that require careful movement. But the effort is rewarded with incredible views and a truly unique experience.
From Widderfeld, the flight begins, gliding effortlessly towards Kriens—saving a 1,600-meter descent or a 2.5-hour return hike that non-flying hikers must take. Along the way, there’s time for a relaxed picnic with panoramic mountain views. This experience is not just about flying, but about fully immersing in the beauty of the Alps.
With a bit of luck, Widderfeld offers perfect thermal conditions. In such cases, the flight can be extended to up to one hour, soaring high above the mountains for an unforgettable panorama.

The Bergdohle is a classic mountain bird you can spot around Mount Pilatus. In English it’s actually called the Alpine Chough — but the word is hard to pronounce and often confused. That’s why we use Mountain Crow: simple, memorable, and perfectly fitting for the alpine vibe.
The eagle stands for freedom, wide distances, and that calm, powerful feeling of gliding through the sky. With a bit of luck, you might even spot eagles or other birds of prey circling above Pilatus. The name captures exactly that: big views, real mountain flying, pure adventure.
Mount Pilatus is also known as the Dragon Mountain — and that’s the spirit of our premium flight. Like a dragon riding hot air and staying up as long as it wants, this flight is all about making the most of the day’s best conditions and extending your time in the air. If the Dragon wants to stay up, it stays up.
As a guideline, the Mountain Crow experience takes about 1.5 – 2 hours from meeting at the bottom until you’re at the landing field in Kriens — assuming there’s no long queue for the cable car.
If we meet at the top, plan around 1 hour including preparation, the flight, packing up, and transferring photos/videos.
Exact timing can vary depending on weather, wind cycles, and how busy the mountain railways are.
For the Mountain Crow, airtime is typically around 20 minutes. The large altitude difference between Pilatus Kulm and the valley makes a solid flight time very likely — but paragliding is still weather-dependent, so exact minutes can never be promised like a train timetable.
For the Dragon, we guarantee a minimum airtime. If the guaranteed time isn’t reached, you only pay the price of the Mountain Crow (the difference is refunded/adjusted).
If Pilatus isn’t flyable, we follow the preference you selected when booking:
Move your flight to another date, or
Switch to an alternative launch site if conditions allow, or
We’ll contact you in advance to coordinate the best option. If an alternative flight costs less than your original choice, we refund the difference.
Yes — as long as you both book for the same day. In the booking notes, add your friend’s name (who also has a booking). Then we’ll do our best to arrange two pilots so you can take off close together and share the experience.
If we can’t secure a second pilot, you’ll fly one after the other. That’s a normal logistical constraint in tandem paragliding: two people flying at the same time requires two available pilots and suitable conditions.
In that case we won’t charge the “Fly with a friend” add-on — and the person waiting gets a coffee on us and a front-row scenic view of Pilatus.
Yes. The fixed time option means we prioritise that time slot in our planning.
However, paragliding remains weather- and safety-dependent. If conditions don’t allow a safe flight at that exact time, we’ll contact you to choose between:
a different time,
a different location (if possible), or
a refund / rebooking.
